I Think My Dad Is Dracula

I think my dad is Dracula.
I know that sounds insane,
but listen for a moment and
allow me to explain.

We don't live in a castle,
and we never sleep in caves.
But, still, there's something weird
about the way my dad behaves.

I never see him go out
in the daytime when it's light.
He sleeps all day till evening,
then he leaves the house at night.

He comes home in the morning
saying, "Man, I', really dead!"
He kisses us good night, and then
by sunrise he's in bed.

My mom heard my suspicion
and she said, "You're not too swift.
Your father;s not a vampire.
He just works the graveyard shift."

Cute poem...huh? This is our life for awhile.

Disneyland

Boston and Elizabeth got to dance with Baloo during breakfast.

Chip even came by to say hi too!!!

Boston got to make his own monster truck at Downtown Disney!!

And then drove a car at Autotopia!!!

Halloween 2009

This year Boston was Handy Manny and Elizabeth was Gabriella from High School Musical. Mommy even dressed up this year as a green witch!!!

Well, it is about time to post some pictures!!! Since the summer, we have had Halloween, a Disneyland trip and Christmas so they are all added into the post together. Hopefully we will update this more often this year.

Elizabeth took an equestrian class at the zoo this year. She absolutely LOVED it!! It was a 4 week class and before they could ride the horses on the last week, they were taught all about the care and maintenance like brushing, feeding, and cleaning the stalls. Can u guess what she wants for her birthday?

Castle Valley Outdoors DUDE Ranch

We went to a cool dude ranch in Utah for 3 days. There was us, my Dad & Stepmom, Connie, my Aunt and her family. Our days were jammed packed. We had a blast!

We went ATV riding all over.

We went fishing and caught a lot of blue gill & 2 rainbow trout! We also caught craw fish and let Elizabeth keep one as a pet...she named him "Lucky" (fitting, since we cooked all the others to eat)

We went hiking to some old rock art site.

It was kind of steep and narrow for Boston. Poor Brian had to carry him most of the way.

We caught pheasants with a net. That was a lot of fun to watch!

We saw horses and ponies. We even went horseback riding. Elizabeth loved it....We are thinking about putting her in horseback lessons.

At the end of the day we sat by the fire and roasted yummy marshmallows.

We met new friends and shared cold glasses of Castle Valley rootbeer YUMMY!

We also went to a rodeo which happened to be at Castle Dale, Utah. That was really fun, especially when they milked the cows.
Check out their blog on my friends and family list.....it would be a great family vacation!

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

Our oldest just turned "7" this week. Time does fly by!
She had a small birthday party and called it "Late night pajama birthday party". We ate pizza, learned a line dance from Hannah Montana, opened presents, had cake and watched High School Musical 3. I think the girls had a lot of fun.

DEFYING GRAVITY- WICKED!

Wow! What a performance.
It was exciting, dark, witty & funny all rolled in together. They left you thinking and wanting more.
Brian and I bought tickets last minute for an early anniversary present. I am glad we did...even Brian enjoyed it (it's not just for girls).
"No One Mourns The Wicked" You have to see it.

The Greatest Show On Earth!

We went to go the Circus yesterday. It was a lot of fun. An hour before it starts, you were able to go down to the floor and meet all the members and actually get to do some stuff they do. Elizabeth walked across the tight rope (with help of course).
We watched magicians and clowns before it started

Bostons favorite part was the tigers.

Elizabeths favorite parts was the elephants

Swimming Lessons

The kids are in swimming lessons this summer.

Elizabeth is practicing her strokes and swimming at least 2 laps across the pool. She is enjoying it but tells me she is very tired from swimming all those laps across the pool.

Boston is finally loving his lessons. We had one bad day of screaming and crying....a big improvement from last year, which took him 2 months to get use to the water. But now he looks forward to swimming lessons. HURRAY!!!

Youth Conference

We had a blast at our 2009 Youth Conference. The children were such a joy to have together. They included everyone and in return made the time worth while. We spent a lot of time playing games, watching movies, playing pool and just having fun! We had a service project which entailed raking pine cones & leaves into piles to be picked up and thrown away. After that we went to Fossil Springs to cool off in the cold....water! The kids (& some leaders) jumped from rocks and swung from a rope into the water. Thanks to all the leaders and youth who made this experience one to remember!

Easter Egg Hunt Anyone??

We had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard with the cousins. My Mom thought it was a great way for everyone to have equal amount of eggs by having everyone find there specific color. Sounds like a good plan..right? Well they were mixed variety of eggs that she bought already filled but each specific color had the same kind of candy. So when I went through the kids eggs I noticed that we only had hershey kisses & malt balls (not my favorite) Oh well. Maybe I won't gain so much weight eating all their chocolate this year! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Bounce U

We went to a birthday party for Alex & Nick at Bounce U. If you have never been there..you have to go. It is so much fun and so many things to bounce on, throw around and just act like a kid, like the kiddos do.
